What is a diaper cake?
A diaper cake is a collection of diapers and other baby gifts that are arranged and decorated to resemble a tiered cake. It is the perfect blend of beauty and practicality. Each tier of the diaper cake is wrapped in a receiving blanket (hooded towels and burp cloths can also be used) and a cute toy or stuffed animal sits on the top. Gifts can be hidden inside of the diaper cake too! Because I place the extra gifts inside, my diaper cakes have a clean and cake-like appearance. Diaper cakes can be made to match a nursery theme, a baby shower theme, or simply the color and style of the Mom-to-be. Items can be purchased from a gift registry so the recipient is sure to love her gift! Diaper cakes can be made to fit any budget and are available in a number of different shapes and sizes.

What is a towel cake?
A towel cake is a creative way to give someone towels. My towel cakes are created using two full sets of towels to resemble a 3-tier cake. Decorations are made to match the recipient from color choice to the type of flower used. A bottle of wine or champagne may also be hidden inside if you would like. I would add the price of the bottle to your cake.

Can you really make a gift cake for every occasion?
Sure! I have made a gift cake for a quilt lover, tennis player, someone starting a weight loss journey, a tea drinker, even one for a gardener. Do you make custom diaper cakes?
My favorite part of my job is creating a gift that is exactly what you had in mind. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients and working with them to find exactly the right “ingredients” for their diaper cake. If you see a diaper cake that you like, I always do my best to find exactly the same “ingredients”. Please understand, however, that some of the diaper cakes are two years old and the exact same product may not be available any more.

How fast can I get my gift cake?
The answer to this question really depends on what is in your gift cake. The majority of gift cakes can be made in two days – one day to shop and one day to “bake”. If specific items are requested that require shipment to me, it will naturally take longer, but I will inform you of this prior to payment.

When is payment due?
Payment, including shipping, is due at the time of your order.

What payment methods do you accept?
For online purchases, I use PayPal. Through PayPal, you may use your Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal account. Local clients may pay me with cash, money order, or PayPal.

Can I pick it up locally?
Sure! I’m happy to meet you in the Waynesboro area or you may pick it up in Charlottesville. In some cases, pick-up in the Richmond, VA, area or Annapolis, MD, area are available. It just depends on the timing of your order and my visiting parents and in-laws.

Will my diaper cake survive shipping?
Absolutely! I have used UPS for two years to pack and ship my diaper cakes. I am based in the Charlottesville, VA, area and my diaper cakes have travelled from Oregon to Australia without a problem. Each tier of my gift cakes are fastened together and each cake is wrapped in tulle with a coordinating bow and a custom “ingredient” card.

What is your return policy?
The majority of my gift cakes are custom orders and I’m sorry to say that I cannot accept returns. However, your satisfaction is my priority! If you are not happy with your gift cake, please contact me and I will do everything I can to work with you until it is to your satisfaction.

What is your privacy policy?
